The Technician begins by entering “Prepared By” and “Prepared For” information. General Analysis Information is then entered such as which units of measure will be used (inches or millimeters), the height the sharps should be above the naturals, and dimensional information about the keys.
The Technician can then select the desired amount of key dip for the natural and sharp keys as well as arc height and whether key lowering is allowed.
Rest and Dip position data is then entered for each natural and sharp key. The position data is obtained from the digital indicator that is part of the rail. Data can be enter manually after it is written down on the Data Collection Report or automatically using the Automatic Data Entry Option. The Automatic Data Entry Option electronically sends the data from the digital indicator to the key’s data field via the USB port on your computer.
Once all of the data is correctly entered on the Technician Worksheet, the QuicKey Leveler Software program calculates how the punchings need to be adjusted at the balance rail and at the front rail to get the keys into their perfect position. The technician can analyze the results of the data on the Tech Analysis page. Here the results are charted and tabulated for the technician to review.
